The Monyie Miji Football Association held its 10th edition after party celebration in Juba at Bros Resort, bringing down the curtain on a successful season. The gathering served as an official commemoration marking the end of the tournament’s football matches, which were hosted in Torit. During the event, respective players and football clubs were recognized with various awards, ranging from best goal scorers to promising younger players and outstanding team contributors.
Beyond the competitive matches on the field, the 10th edition celebration brought together community members, fans, and football teams in a peaceful and welcoming environment. The tournament continues to serve as a powerful sporting platform that promotes friendship, mutual understanding, and social integration across the region.
Since its inception in Juba back in 2017, the Monyie Miji Football Association has recorded remarkable growth. Over the years, the competition has expanded significantly from featuring only a few founding teams to hosting 32 active community football teams participating in organized annual tournaments today.
The roots of the organization stretch back much further than its current run. The Monyie Miji Football Association (MFA) was first established in Khartoum, Sudan, in 1994, before it was later re-established in Juba in 2017. Throughout its history, the association was founded and maintained with the primary objective of promoting local athletic talent, empowering youth, and unifying communities through the power of football.
